ABSTRACT:
Join GeoWomen of Calgary as we host Mairi Serpas and Lana Bentley from Mindfulicity, a skill brain-based online training program designed to help individuals build healthy relationships, improve communication and navigate conflict, stress and uncertainty.
Feeling psychologically safe means that individuals are comfortable to show up in the workplace as their whole self, and speak up with their ideas and thoughts without fear of retribution, embarrassment or punishment. Psychologically safe environments promote openness, collaboration and inclusivity.
In this discussion focused on building psychologically safe workplaces, Mairi and Lana will talk about:
- why psychological safety is so important in the workplace
- the role of mindfulness in creating psychological safety
- why boundaries matter in psychologically safe environments
- strategies each of us can put in place every day to cultivate open and inclusive workplaces.
